What types of items does Little Bo-tique accept for consignment?
In addition to maternity and children’s clothing, Little Bo-tique
takes bedroom and nursery furniture, as well as baby equipment and
nursery items. We accept girls clothing in sizes newborn through
junior 16 and boys newborn up to size 20. We take all sizes in
Maternity. The baby gear and equipment, such as strollers, walkers,
high chairs, and furniture need to be current and in good safe working
order. The clothing must be on hangers before we can look them over to
see if they are acceptable. We have hangers you may use but we must
tend to those consignments all ready hung first. Plus, if your items
are in a bag or box, you yourself may see items not acceptable while
you are hanging them.
How many items can I bring in for consignment?
You may bring in as many items as you like for consignment. We do
require a minimum of 10 items before opening a new account, unless you
are consigning a larger item such as furniture.
What kind of money should I expect to receive?
The consigner receives 40% of the selling price. The name brand,
condition of the item, and the demand for that item will determine the
selling price. You are more than welcome to tell us a particular
amount you would like to receive on any larger type items and we will
do our best to get that amount for you. Otherwise, if we truly
don’t feel that we could get you that amount, we would just ask you to
pick the item back up. Little Bo-tique hopes to sell your item
for the highest price possible but we do want the item to sell.
What happens to my items at the end of the 90 day consignment
period?
At the end of the 90 days, the consigner has the choice to pick up
any unsold items or leave them and let them become property of Little
Bo-tique whereas they may be donated to one of the local charities. If
a consigner wishes to pick up their items, we just ask that they give
us a days notice to have time to pull them from the floor. We also ask
that the items are not reclaimed for a minimum of 60 days.
How do I bring in items for consignment?
Before you bring your items in, you should give them an inspection
to make sure that they are in season, clean of course, free from rips,
tears, or spots, and ready to go on the sales floor. Clothing needs to
be on hangers before we can do our inspection. We have hangers you can
use but not the man power to hang them for you.
